I sit here at my desk in the studio reflecting on the last 4 years. What has changed and all the amazing opportunities that I am blessed with. Four years ago I decided to become a professional photographer.
My journey started back in 2014. With a burning desire to capture beautiful landscapes. Living so close to Jasper National Park its easy to want to capture the beauty that is your backyard. During this time I realized that I wanted to use my camera for more than landscapes. I wanted to show the world the souls of all the different people that I get to meet in my life.
I grew a deep love for black & white portraits after taking a random one day workshop in 2016. In 2017, I attended my 2nd workshop. Character with Dave Brosha and Wayne Simpson. It was there I learnt the art of creative portraiture. July 2019 I will be taking the Character workshop once again! Which I am so excited to attend!
May 2018, I took the opportunity to open my own Studio. I knew how important it was for me to be able to separate my “work” life, (which I can hardly call work) and my family life. The Studio has become that space I always dreamed about having.
Thank you everyone who has supported me along this crazy journey! I love you all and consider you all Family.
I can not wait to see what 2019 has in store!
